System Settings: Rooms
Like a physical office, SignalWire Work also has the concept of different rooms in its virtual office environments.
In SignalWire Work, a room is where people gather. Most rooms are like physical conference rooms where people speak collaboratively in meetings.
In addition, there are also concepts in rooms that are more like "open offices" where people choose to sit in the same place but are working independently. SignalWire Work features a capability called “Do not disturb” where people establish their presence in the room, but cannot hear or be heard unless they want to join in or if someone “knocks” on their screen.
There are also room types, which include studios for podcasts, or even fun spaces where people can watch videos together at a distance.
Like a physical room, room moderators can "lock the door," preventing other participants from entering. Similarly, room moderators can set a PIN to restrict entry.
In SignalWire Work, rooms can have a name or even an extension number for easy telephone dial-ins.
Just like a physical office, some rooms can be made visible to others. For example, during an "open house," it might be useful to direct external visitors to certain meetings by advertising those rooms on the Home Screen.

Room Name - Name that users enter in the Dialer and that can be accessed via URL. For example, if the room name is WarRoom, it would be accessed via https:// {your SignalWire Work domain} rooms/ {Your Room}
Room description - A more detailed description for the meeting that appears on the Home Screen.
Transfer to - Transfers callers from this room into another room automatically. This feature is often used to map numerical extensions, as with DID number blocks into named rooms.
Determines whether the room is advertised on the home screen even when it is empty. A numerical priority value indicates the order it appears in the list.
Hide this room from all previews - Hides a room preview from the Home Screen entirely — even from administrators — and can only be accessed by dialing the right room name or number.
Preview position on home screen/Room Navigator - Position of where a room appears on the Home Screen and the Room Navigator.
Not visible unless occupied - The room preview will be hidden from the Home Screen until the room is occupied.
Pinned to top - Will prioritize a larger preview of the room at the top of the Home Screen page.
Priority 2-25 - Will show a smaller room preview on the Home Screen, underneath any pinned rooms, ordered by number. The value of 25 puts the room preview at the bottom of the home screen. This option makes it easier for employees or guests to find frequently used rooms like "Marketing" or "Sales."
Visible to Guests - Determines whether a participant logged in as a guest will see a preview of your room on the Home Screen. This ensures that guests don't accidentally click on or enter rooms that are for employees only.
In order to specify room visibility by Group, make sure "Visible to Guests" is unchecked.

Check which group or groups are the room is visible to. If the group has "Moderator" or "Administrator" checked these permissions will apply to the room.
Changes the visibility of the room on the Home Screen by Groups. All checked Groups will be able to see the room preview on the Home Screen and in the room navigator. You may check more than one as the room will be hidden from all unchecked groups. The room must already be hidden from guests in order for this feature to work. Hiding a room from all previews will take precedent over this setting and continue to be hidden from all users.
