Live Streaming from Twitch.tv to SignalWire Work

SignalWire Work allows for streaming from YouTube, Twitch.tv, and Vimeo. In this article we will cover streaming to https://Twitch.tv

The below components will be needed to accomplish streaming:

Create the Live Stream from Twitch.tv
Stream Twitch.tv Live from SignalWire

A Twitch.tv account is required

Create Live Stream from Twitch.tv:



Go to Twitch.tv and login with your twitch.tv account.
Go to https://stream.twitch.tv/ingests/ and find the Recommended Ingest Endpoints For You

Example: rtmp://jfk.contribute.live-video.net/app/{stream_key}

Go to settings > Stream and click the copy button for the stream key

Combine the rtmp url and stream key (You’ll need this in a bit)
rtmp://jfk.contribute.live-video.net/app/live_675407420_jL1r5qgJ7YRu1xdrghsvc66fFR9FN




Stream Twitch.tv live from SignalWire:



You must be Admin Moderator or Superuser. If you don’t see the More option at the bottom center of the browser please contact your local IT department.

Click the Advanced Controls button at the bottom center of your web browser. (Chrome is recommended)



Click Recording located between Room Settings and Canvas Layout.



Select Remote Broadcast Server from the drop-down menu that is located under Broadcast or Recording Method
Scroll to Enter the streaming URL field and insert the Twitch.tv custom streaming URL/Key.
Click the blue START RECORDING button







You should notice in Twitch.tv that the stream is now live and showing in the top left part of the Twitch.tv streaming page.

Keep the Record to a file as a backup checked. This will keep a copy of the recording on your SignalWire Work space (example.sw.work).

Once you are done with recording and/or streaming to Twitch.tv, you stop the recording button by going to the Advanced Controls menu, then click the RECORDING tab, and click the STOP RECORDING button.





The recording/streaming should have stopped and available via Twitch.tv and on your Signalwire Work space (example.sw.work).
