What is a Group on SignalWire?
Groups are a way to sort users in order to make customizing your instance easier. Groups allow you to hide rooms, grant permissions, and grant User Types for a specific group of users. This feature is often used in an office setting to group departments together. In this way, the sales team can be granted moderator permissions in the sales rooms but not marketing rooms. As an administrator, you are able to create an edit groups.

SignalWire can be integrated with SignalWire Space to allow Inbound calls and SMS messaging. With this integration, the SignalWire room will be reachable by inbound SMS or inbound calling. Inbound SMS to this number will deliver the messages to the SignalWire room’s chat window. Inbound calling to this number will patch in the user’s audio to the room.
To begin, purchase a phone number from within the SignalWire Space by clicking Phone Numbers from the menu on the left side.

What is an Administrator?
Each role on SignalWire (User, Moderator, Room Manager, Room Moderator, and Administrator) has innate permissions within the system. Users are able to be granted more than one role or join with no role as a guest.Some readersSystem Settings: Users Tab
The Users tab is where you can delegate SignalWire Work system administration to other users.
Note that while administrators also have moderator privileges, these administrator accounts also have the ability to change system-level settings.
For granting moderator privileges without system administration capabilities, you can issue moderator PINs for individual rooms.
To add an administrative user:

As an administrator, you can send audio alerts to all rooms simultaneously. Use cases for this intercom feature include:
Emergencies affecting one or more office locations
Outages of critical internal services
Reminding employees of the start of a company meeting or event
To send a system alert using the intercom feature:
Ensure you are logged in an administrator. Guest users cannot send system alerts using the intercom feature.

Administrators can call other administrators directly from the dialer by dialing @ followed by the name of the user they are trying to contact. For example, an administrator would enter "@Abbi" to call Abbi.

SignalWire Work enables security at multiple levels.
Conference access
In general, most SignalWire Work room access is governed by room name and PIN.
Administrators can assign each predefined room its own unique set of PINs to be used distinctly to identify moderators from guests, or to simply assign guest PINs to each room with no moderators.

Open Ad Hoc Collaboration
At one end of the spectrum, system administrators can choose to run a completely open SignalWire Work deployment, requiring minimal administration. SignalWire Work allows for multiple conference rooms to be available to use at one time. Like in a physical office, these rooms can be used to collaborate with coworkers, work silently, or take meetings.
The Home Screen allows visitors to see the activity in each room through room previews. Room previews show the name of the room, a list of who is currently participating, and a short video clip of the participants who are currently in the conference. SignalWire Works provides 3 different roles--guest, moderator, & administrator.
Guests are any participants in SignalWire Work who join rooms either with no credentials, or in more secure systems with a guest PIN either specific to the room or global to all auto-created rooms.
Moderators are participants in SignalWire Work who have been given privileges to control in-conference features, such as muting other participants, locking the door, or removing other participants from rooms. ModFew readersRetrieving Recordings on SignalWire Work
When files are locally recorded on SignalWire Work, they can be retrieved in the System Settings under the Recordings tab.
Files are sorted by the name or number of the room the video was recorded in. Each .mp4 file has a timestamp underneath it and a date (yyyy-mm-dd) to show when it was originally recorded.
To download a recording:
Click the arrow icon to the right of the .mp4 file.
